My Garage • utility workbench

More Tools

More Tools is Crank’s utility workbench. It keeps technical instruments and support utilities available without crowding the Crank Main or My Garage front doors.

What this section does.

This page describes the capability architecture represented in the current Crank development build. Interface wording may continue to be polished, but the functions below are the working product structure.

Live Data Dashboard

A technical live-data view for supported current measurements.

Fortune Teller / Vehicle Aura

Evidence-backed vehicle-condition context and transient-monitoring tools.

Road Weather Watch

Weather context for the road/route without turning the core app into a weather service.

Device Steward

Phone/device health and operational support checks for the hardware Crank is running on.

Route / GPS Tools

GPS favorites, Return Compass, Experience utilities and Map / Track access.

Field Tools / Toolbox

Compass™, Inclinometer™, vibration/tach and other field instruments available outside a single vehicle diagnosis.

Custom Data / Advanced

Advanced/custom data definitions can be managed separately from ordinary driver-facing selections.

Code Reader Setup

Reader configuration remains reachable as a technical utility even though asset-specific reader selection is surfaced where the user actually needs it.

Parts Finder shortcut

Parts Finder can also be reached from the workbench while its primary public home remains My Garage.

How it fits together.

Step 2Choose instrument
Step 3Use current asset / phone context
Step 4Save evidence if applicable
Step 5Return to caller
Crank truth boundary: More Tools is intentionally not the dumping ground for every primary feature. Major user jobs live in My Garage; this lane holds the utilities that support them.
