Standard Mode
Crank can speak operator alerts using the configured voice path.
My Garage • operator alert behavior
Crank Alerts gives the operator one visible control for how Crank communicates attention events across the app: spoken alerts, vibration alerts or silent operation.
Current capability map
This page describes the capability architecture represented in the current Crank development build. Interface wording may continue to be polished, but the functions below are the working product structure.
Crank can speak operator alerts using the configured voice path.
Spoken output is disabled and vibration patterns replace voice events.
Voice and vibration are both disabled.
The selected mode is a global preference rather than a hidden per-screen setting.
My Garage surfaces the current alert mode directly on the Crank Alerts card.
Monitoring, recording, evidence capture and background operation continue in every alert mode.
Changing alert behavior does not rewrite the underlying diagnostic or evidence logic.
The operator can change the communication style without drilling into unrelated setup menus.
Older voice-mode preference values are normalized into the current Standard / Vibration / Silent model.
