PM Center™

PM Center is asset-owned preventative-maintenance infrastructure for vehicles and equipment. It combines factory knowledge, operator policy, Step Train program building, materials, calendar/history, documents and formal completion records.

What this section does.

This page describes the capability architecture represented in the current Crank development build. Interface wording may continue to be polished, but the functions below are the working product structure.

Factory PM recommendations

Crank can look for application-specific factory maintenance knowledge through a controlled VIN-free research path and cache approved knowledge to the asset.

Configuration-aware applicability

Capacities, consumables and schedules can depend on the actual installed engine, transmission, axle, cooling package, hydraulic system or other equipment configuration.

Step Train program builder

Approved factory knowledge or an operator’s own procedure can be turned into a structured PM program rather than a loose reminder.

Perform saved PMs

The operator can step through saved checkpoints, capture completion evidence and preserve the run as a record.

PM calendar

Factory schedules and operator-defined recurring mileage, operating-hours and calendar policies can be brought together around a confirmed local service anchor.

Materials Library

Fluids, filters, parts, additives and other material requirements are asset-owned and editable independently from the PM recipe.

Cross-references and provenance

Material choices can preserve brand/product/part references, specifications and provenance such as OEM verified, Crank reviewed or operator selected.

Fluid / oil analysis history

Material records can retain analysis entries and usage context for longitudinal review.

Asset Document Cabinet

Manuals, nameplates, equipment tags, service documents and paper PM templates can be retained with the asset instead of trapped inside the module that imported them.

Paper PM template intake

Existing customer/manufacturer paper forms can be archived as asset-owned PM source material and used to build structured Crank workflows.

Service history

Completed PM activity stays with the selected asset so later work begins with actual history.

Professional PM reports

Completed inspections can produce a formal, shareable preventative-maintenance record suitable for owner/customer documentation.

How it fits together.

Crank truth boundary: PM Center does not invent missing capacities, specifications or factory intervals. When exact authoritative application data is unavailable, the unresolved value remains unresolved until the installed configuration or source is verified.
