A.I.R.O.N. Technician Data Logger

A configurable diagnostic recorder for preserving the operating conditions around a symptom. It combines requested OBD-II, mobile-interface and Crank-calculated points with event markers, Fortune Teller Ghost Watch and professional CSV evidence.

What this section does.

This page describes the capability architecture represented in the current Crank development build. Interface wording may continue to be polished, but the functions below are the working product structure.

Built-in diagnostic setups

Current starting templates include Cooling System, Charging System, Transmission, Fuel Trim / Catalyst, Intermittent Stall, Highway Hesitation, Warm Restart and Electrical Load Test.

Custom setups

A technician can build reusable diagnostic setups and choose up to 25 requested measurements.

Vehicle-specific setups

A setup can be saved inside the active vehicle packet when it belongs to one vehicle rather than being a global template.

Mixed data sources

Requested points can include supported OBD-II values, mobile-interface witnesses and Crank-calculated relationships.

Fortune Teller Ghost Watch

The recorder can watch for abnormal transient behavior during a test and preserve the surrounding evidence.

Event markers

Technician-defined event buttons make it possible to mark the moment a hesitation, shift, stall, load change or other symptom occurs.

Sequential acquisition truth

Crank reevaluates what the current vehicle and reader can actually provide. Unavailable, stale, delayed or disconnected values are not presented as fresh simultaneous measurements.

Incremental evidence

Working CSV evidence is written during the session, not only at the end, improving recovery after an interruption.

Saved-log review

Completed A.I.R.O.N. data logs remain in the vehicle packet for later review and professional handoff.

How it fits together.

Step 1Choose setup
Step 2Verify available points
Step 3Start protected recording
Step 4Mark symptom / Ghost Watch
Step 5Review CSV evidence
Crank truth boundary: The logger preserves what was actually available from the current vehicle, reader and mobile interface. A requested point is not promoted to trustworthy evidence just because it exists in a setup.
